Bale's Hat-trick not enough to save Tottenham from 4-3 loss to Inter.

A stunning individual performance by Gareth Bale, provided solace for Tottenham fans as they saw their team defeated by Inter. However, even Bale's hat-trick did not prove enough for Harry Rednapp's side to comeback from the 4-0 deficit they put themselves in before half-time.

With a goal conceded in the first 2 minutes and the added strain to play with only 10-men after Gomes was sent-off, put Tottenham 2-0 down, Eto'o converting the penalty. Harry Rednapp admitted "I would have been happy to take a 4-0 loss at half-time."

It took Tottenham 52 minutes to get on the score-sheet, after an individual run and screamer shot by Bale, ensured some constellation for the fans. And, from exactly the same spot Bale fired 2 more shots on target in the last 2 minutes to pull Tottenham back to a very respectable 4-3 scoreline. However, with the final whistle approaching, there was no time for a comeback. An exhilarating finish and Tottenham fans would definitely be wishing for just a few extra minutes (4 goals from Bale? Perhaps that would steal the limelight from Rooney).

Manchester United target Fernando Torres?

Huge speculation behind the Liverpool striker, Fernando Torres, rumoured to be one of Manchester United's target should Rooney leave Old Trafford this January transfer window. Hodgson is increasingly unsettled at the news of the Rooney departure as Alex Ferguson will be forced to use funds to buy a player close to the talent of Rooney.

Torres (bought from Athletico Madrid for $21mil, record for Liverpool) has seen his side sink to the bottom three of the Barclays Premier League managing just 6 points from eight games. It is by far the worst start by Liverpool in the last decade and has consequently rubbed off on Torres scoring only 1 goal in the last 4 matches.

Whatever happens, Rooney's fans have already lost faith by showing up to the recent match against Bursaspor with banners, one noticably stating: "Now whos the whore, Wayne?".

Chelsea continue their good form in all competitions with a 2-0 win over Moscow. The blues were quite lucky not to concede in the first-half after amazing saves by Petr Cech, kept Moscow bedazzled.

Anelka, like his team, continues to play in top form scoring a goal after shooting wide minutes before. Zhirkov set the game shut after he scored a screamer shot giving Spartak's keeper no chance.

Real Madrid: Too Fast, Too Furious, for AC Milan

This is the biggest match this week, as two of the biggest teams in Europe fought it out to see who would top the tables. And, it took two of the biggest players (Ronaldo and Ozil), two consecutive goals, less than 2 minutes apart, to make the final score two-nil (Last time I say two, promise).

Ronaldo, a free-kick specialist, has been more successful this season than ever before and seems to be getting more accurate as matches go on. Ozil was the scorer of the second goal, who was assisted by Ronaldo, deflecting the ball off AC Milan's defender, Daniele Bonera, to send keeper Amelia, the wrong way. A definite wake-up call for AC Milans aging team.

WAYNE ROONEY is leaving Man Utd

This is HUGE. Wayne Rooney, who is Manchester United's biggest and most marketable player, is now on his way out of Old Trafford. Fergusson has openly discussed this matter stating: "This can come as a complete shock to me, as it has to the public."

Wayne reportedly feels he wants out, while Fergusson believes it has been a complete reverse of character for Rooney. The move became obvious once their were disputes over why Rooney was not on the starting 11 last Premier League Match. Ferssuon stated he needed to rest atleast 10 days, while Rooney simply said he was fine.

Real Madrid has been connnected to this move and rumours have it that Rooney will leave Man Utd this summer for apporximately $80 Million (abit of deja vu for Man Utd fans, seeing another great, Cristiano Ronaldo, leaving for the same price).
